New Knowle Park hedge planted

20/12/2021 Posted by Knowle Park

30 volunteers attended our first hedge planting session this afternoon, planting the 510 hedge plants donated to Knowle Park by the Woodland Trust as part of their Queen’s Green Canopy scheme.

The new hedgerow will be supplemented in the New Year with a further 3,500 hedge plants, creating around half a mile in total of new hedgerow on the western and southern boundaries of the park to make a valuable wildlife habitat and corridor.

Thank you everyone who took part today.
