Knowle Park Trust was delighted to welcome back Surrey Hills Enterprises corporate member Allianz for a follow-up conservation day on Friday, 17th May.
This event marked a continuation of Allianz’s commitment to environmental stewardship, following their initial tree-planting efforts in February 2022, when 100 volunteers planted 1,000 native trees in the park’s northern paddock.
Last week, Allianz volunteers returned to provide essential care to the young saplings. Under the expert guidance of Christa from Surrey Hills Society and the dedicated Knowle Park team, the volunteers spent the day removing competing vegetation, checking tree guards, and ensuring the saplings were set to grow into strong, healthy trees.
Maggie Howell, the newly appointed CEO of Surrey Hills Enterprises, praised Allianz’s continued support, saying,
